The Northern Yorke Peninsula Quilters have members from Moonta, Wallaroo & Kadina and surrounding areas.
We are a friendly group willing to share our skills. We have ‘Inhouse Workshops’ and from time to time visiting tutors.
We meet at the Old Wallaroo Mines Institute, Stirling Tce, Wallaroo Mines, Kadina. Wednesday and Thursdays 9.30am-2.30pm, also the 1st and 3rd Monday evening at 7pm.
We contribute to the community by making and donating quilts for St. Vincent De Paul Society, Salvation Army and Uniting Care, also wheelchair quilts for the three Age Care Homes in the area and cot quilts for Rose Ward at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Our bi annual Exhibition held during the Kernewek Lowender is held in the Moonta Town Hall. Our Cornish Exchange & quilts made for special occasions are displayed at our meeting hall. New members very welcome.
