The Northern Yorke Peninsula Art Group Inc. has been meeting for over 20 years. They meet on Tuesdays from 10.00am – 2.00pm at the back of the Uniting Church, Robert Street, Moonta.
People who attend, range from experienced local Artists to beginners, painting in different mediums such as oil, watercolour, pastel, pen and ink. The subject choice is vast and varied.
We have upgraded the building and made it into a Working Art Gallery. We invite interested Community members to come in, buy a painting for a special occasion or just have a look at the paintings, talk to the Artists, or observe them and have a cuppa with us. You will be made very welcome.
We submit our Art to Exhibitions all over the State.
If you have an interest in Painting we invite you to join us at the NYP Art Group, meet people with a similar interest and enjoy the social life. The cost to join is $20 per Annum with a weekly fee of $3.50 which covers coffee and tea plus use of facilities.
Experienced Artists are available for guidance and advice. Once a month there is a Tutorial Day in different mediums by different artists at minimal cost. Every year we go on a Art Camp for a weekend, usually in November to Melrose. We learn a lot, have lots of fun and a good social time.
