The Moonta and District Progress Association is a volunteer based community organisation that seeks to promote the township of Moonta, South Australia and its district of Moonta Bay, Moonta Mines, Port Hughes and North Yelta.
The group encourages improvements that will enhance the lifestyle and quality of life and bring benefit to the community. Several groups such as the Community Activity Centre, Town Beautification and Friends of Victoria Park are part of Progress
Many events in Moonta that occur in the community are organised by Progress. These include numerous Christmas activities, the ShownShine and Moonta’s part of Kernewek Lowender.
Progress also produces a quarterly newsletter.
New volunteers are always needed for the many projects that Progress undertakes
