Moonta Remembers

November 11, 2018

Moonta will celebrate the centenary of the World War 1 armistice by holding a memorial service, a community parade and a festival in Queen Square.

We are looking for groups and individuals to take part in the parade and party.

Floats for the parade can be anything military, circa 1918 or just fun.

Make use of your Kernerwek Lowender costumes.

Moonta held a similar parade in 1915 to raise money for the war effort and this event is in part a re-enactment of that parade.

The event is being hosted by Moonta RSL Sub-branch and Moonta & District Progress Assoc.
